Timeless Weatherproof Protection. Our Shipyard Waxed Canvas Jacket is made from traditional waxed cotton canvas. Tried and true, it's the original waterproof material, revered by generations of loggers, explorers and seafaring folk whose lives depended on staying dry and warm in the fiercest conditions.
When we designed this jacket, we didn't mess around. We got our tough, water-resistant waxed canvas from British Millerain, the legendary manufacturer of waxed cotton whose roots go back even further than ours. Using double- and triple-needle stitching, we built in reinforced pockets, a Danner suede collar and pocket bindings, and a custom metal shank button front, and then we lined the whole thing with durable twill. The result? A rugged, timeless classic you can count on for the long haul.
